After a day of stormy wet weather the clouds broken about an hour before sunset and I noticed a rainbow. I had a hunch that the direction of the sun was around 40 degrees off the line of sight from this location, so I rushed there just in time and it was perfectly aligned with Holgate Windmill and York Minster. A truly special moment.

Hushinish is a remote place along a long road along the coast line of North Harris. On this occasion, as in many, the waves were whipped up by the strong winds and throwing themselves onto the rocks. Beautiful iconic colours of dark rocks, golden sand and sea greens.
